Outside of festival periods, please contact us in advance to arrange an appointment via email or our contact form.

Deliveries are available for orders of 5 or more outfits and can be booked online. For further enquiries: [email protected]

• Postal delivery (Europe-wide): Available exclusively outside festival periods.
• Delivery within Munich: Available for corporate clients and groups of 5+ outfits.
• Delivery during Oktoberfest: Only within a limited radius around Munich (5+ outfits).

Delivery & pick-up fee: €29.90

We offer a 24/7 Drop-off Box at our branch at Schwanthalerstraße 83, 80336 Munich. You can use this box to return your outfit at any time – for example, if you have an early flight or simply want to drop it off after hours. Our team will explain exactly how it works when you pick up your outfit.

Your rented outfit must always be returned to the store where you picked it up, within regular opening hours. Alternatively, the 24/7 Drop-off Box at Schwanthalerstraße 83 is available at any time.

Yes. For in-store returns, the person returning the outfit must present the QR code from your booking confirmation or provide your full name. For the Drop-off Box, please place the outfit in a bag with your order number and full name clearly written on it.

Late returns will be charged accordingly. Please plan a punctual return. A couple of minutes are fine – but please let us know. We need to ensure that our traditional costumes enter the cleaning cycle on time.

• During Oktoberfest (Sep 18 – Oct 4, 2026): The rental day ends the following day at 11:00 AM, except on Sundays when it ends at 1:00 PM.
• During Frühlingsfest (Apr 17 – May 10, 2026): The rental day always ends the following day at 12:00 noon – including Sundays.
• Outside festival periods: The rental day ends the following day at 11:00 AM every day, including Sundays.

All four branches are located in the immediate vicinity of the Oktoberfest grounds:

An online reservation is strongly recommended to guarantee the availability of your desired outfit. Reservations are free of charge. Without a reservation, we cannot guarantee that anything will be available when you arrive.

You can cancel your order at any time, free of charge, at bavarian-outfitters.de/cancellation. No cancellation fees apply.

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) and Girocard/EC cards. Cash payments are unfortunately not possible.

A deposit is required at pickup – it is placed as a temporary authorization on your credit card to cover possible issues.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to extend the rental period after booking. Please plan your rental dates in advance. Note that the 2nd and 3rd rental days are already discounted by 50%. The maximum rental period is 3 days.

Our optional Worry-Free Protection package covers all damages to our outfits – only loss or willful destruction are excluded. You can add this protection online at checkout or directly in the store at pickup.

We are a pure rental service – purchasing traditional costumes from us is not possible.

It is not possible to visit the store before your reserved rental day to try on outfits or pre-select models. Fitting and size selection take place exclusively on the day of pickup. Don't worry – a large selection is always available in store, and you can easily exchange ±1 size on site.

We exclusively use German clothing sizes:

• Lederhosen: Sizes 44 – 58
• Shirts (Men): S – XXXX-Large
• Shoes (Men): EU 40 – 47
• Dirndl: Sizes 34 – 46

Hygiene is our top priority! After every use, all traditional costumes are professionally cleaned, washed, and disinfected.

Unfortunately we cannot store personal items in our stores. For lockers near the Oktoberfest grounds, we recommend external providers such as zeitlager.de.
