The Spring Festival or Springfest (Frühlingsfest) 2024 starts on April 19, 2024, at 4 pm and ends on May 5, 2024.
Spring is approaching rapidly, and with it comes the 58th Spring Festival at the historic Theresienwiese in Munich. Begin is Friday, April 19, 2024, until May 5, 2024, it’s time once again to put on traditional attire and raise your beer steins!
The Tents
The two festival tents at the “small Wiesn,” the Hippodrom (link) and the Festhalle Bayernland (link), will delight you daily during the week from 11 am to 10:30 pm and on weekends from 10 am with their delicacies like beer and more beer!
The Dress Code
Just like at Oktoberfest, the dress code at the Spring Festival in Munich is:
Dust off your Lederhosen and Dirndl!
While the selection, especially at pop-up stores, may not be as extensive as during the Wiesn, the usual traditional clothing stores are open year-round. For those who prefer to rent, you can do so directly here.
Additionally, over 100 fairground operators await you with rides, game booths, candy stands, and a diverse program of events.
Those who enjoy the Oktoberfest feeling but shy away from the long wait times at the tents will love the Spring Festival. The tents are not overcrowded, you can always find a seat, and the best part: the atmosphere is just as breathtaking as its big brother, Oktoberfest.
